General

Q: I thought this was Phoenix. Why is the phone number a California area code?

A: All calls are routed through a central number.  Getting a California area code number was the most inexpensive (read: free) way to go.  This helps keep our overhead costs down, thus keeping your cost of service down.

Q: Your prices are cheaper than most. Does this mean you aren't as good as ? Or are you trying to undercut their prices?

A: My prices are competitive.  Many other magicians have more experience than I do when it comes to magic, so I price accordingly.  Does that mean that I'm not as good as them?  Not necessarily; I practice as much as any magician does, but mostly focus on the performance aspect.  I do not try to undercut anyone's business.  I have recommended many of those other magicians to potential clients where I don't see my performance as a good fit for them.  If you feel I am undercutting anyone's (or your) magic business, please contact me and let me know.  I'm always open to input.

Q: Do you do balloon animals?

A: I can do one balloon animal: a dog.  Anything beyond that you might want to look at Tim, the balloon guy.

Q: Do you do adult parties?

A: If you mean to ask if I can perform magic for adults, then yes, I do.  I perform for all kinds of parties and events, but unless specifically asked for, I avoid adult material.

Q: I wasn't looking for this site. I was looking for Something Magical Photography.

A: Something Magical Photography is the sister company of Something Magical.  You can find it here: http://photo.something-magical.net.

Q: I'm interested in becoming a magician.  Can you point me in the right direction?
A: I'm excited that you're interested!  Some of the best magic books can be found on Amazon.  I definitely recommend at least starting with these two: Modern Coin Magic (Dover Magic Books) and Card Control: Practical Methods and Forty Original Card Experiments (Dover Magic Books)
